Dodda Ayur kallahali betta and the Bamboo lake forest

One more beautiful weekend Saturday called upon us and we had a plan to have some authentic way to start with breakfast and then hit a small hill to trek and burn the calories eaten.

We started around 6am from home and went to Frazer town to have some nice Kheema and Nalli Nihari with an authentic frazer town masala chai and then planned to visit the Dodda Ayur kilagi betta which is in between Narasipura and Kolar about 60 kms from Bangalore..

When I went to Chandra Mouleshwara betta last time I saw this Dodda ayur betta with a temple at the midway and that time itself planned to visit this one..This place is also closer to the famous Chotta Ladhak people call.

We reached the base around 7.45 and with drizzling and pleasant weather started our hike.. Initially it was a plain steps on a rocky trail and within 15mins we reached the temple at the midway... The Temple had Hanuman god and a small cave like structure to go inside..

Post the temple we took the left side path in the hope of climbing up and after hardwork of climbing rock to rock and finding some caves on the way we felt thats not the right way to reach up and it got risky as the gap between rocks got huge...

We got down back to the temple and tried other ways to go up but as no locals was available and it was very bushy we dropped the plan of reaching the peak, but for sure there is a way to go up as there was another small temple and flag on the peak.

On the way back we also spent some time on the Bamboo lake forest which is on the main road near Tavarakere...All together it was a nice experience that a breakfast with trek to burn the food went well and we started to Bangalore and on the way stopped for some fresh vegetable purchase near Hoskote..
